A CEO at 22

"For the youth by the youth".Yes this is the motto that the youngsters in the city are upto.Youngsters as young as 20-22 are turning entrepreneurs as soon as they areout of colleges. These micro businesses are funded by their own savingsand their business interests range from media and ad agencies to studiosand production houses.Rituraj Sapkota who has completed his graduation in Masscommunication fromLoyola Academy this year, started a firm, Fl!p Minds along with his friend Rommel Anand. By recruting around 15 freelancers who include content writers and conceptwriters, the two of them are getting away good with the business. We workin a no-hierarchy environment, we do events and videos that are FAR awayfrom mainstream ones, the two of them behind the origin of Fl!p Minds say."We started Fl!pmind because we needed to be at a level where we couldtake decisions and bring about change. And this we could not do whileworking for someone else. Hence we had to start something for ourselves.",says Rituraj Sapkota."We had faith in ourselves, we had gained enough experience in the fieldwhile we were in college and we also realized that success isnt aboutwalking fast on roads built by others but in building your own roads,"says Rommel Anand.Most of the youngsters drive to Suchitra only to visit 'Lucky LickersCoffee shop' owned by 22 year old Gautam Kumar.All wonder how he could manage starting a coffee shop, he says "I pouredin all my savings. I earned money by doing corporate films for businessorganisations and documentaries for NGOs"The softwares that most of the media houses and a few TV channels use inthe city have been developed by 'Next Click Solutions Pvt. Ltd' and thewhole soul proprietor of the company is Arun Varma a Btech graduate of CBIT and who is all of 23. He has started this organisation an year agowhen he was in his final year Engineering.

"My dream is to see that day when my company is equally competing withMicrosoft and Google. This will happen in the next ten years down theline," he proudly says.All of them seem to be working with one motto,"We are more of a community than an organization where everyone earns asmuch as he works for. Our basic objectivbe is to make a difference. Weuse young, innovative people and do a good job."
